Claudius is a Financial Economist by profession with over 30 years experience in education, consulting, corporate advisory and finance in the UK and Africa.
Claudius has worked as a project or technical consultant for a number of international organisations including the World Bank, IFC, DfID and UNCTAD as well as for private institutions including the Soros Economic Development Fund (SEDF), WAICA Reinsurance Corporation PLC and Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC).
As Group Chief Executive of Pennarth Greene, Claudius leads the London and Africa-based licensed advisory and corporate finance firm, linking capital and opportunities in Europe and in emerging markets, especially in Africa. The firm maintains a list of associates in many jurisdictions, which gives it extensive reach in meeting the aspirations of its clients. In the UK, the company is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Claudius retired as Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank (Sierra Leone) Limited in 2014 but continues to hold several other non-executive directorships including Royal Insurance Gambia Limited and the Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) Business School.
Claudius was for 3 years, the Director of the Institute of Public Administration and Management (University of Sierra Leone). During this time, he revolutionalised education in the University of Sierra Leone by recruiting top practitioners from Sierra Leone and the diaspora as Tutors; implementing a curriculum that met international standards and encouraging students and tutors alike to be more technologically friendly.
Claudius holds PhD in Financial Economics.
